Matching Gift Terms and Conditions

A matching fund has been established to match all gifts made online, up to $5,000 per donor, during the Stanford Giving Tuesday campaign. The match period will begin at 12 p.m. (PT) on Monday, November 27, 2023, and end at 11:59 p.m. (PT) on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, or when the $2 million matching fund has been exhausted (full terms and conditions are below). As such, gifts made via other methods, including mailed gifts or gifts of securities, are not eligible for the match. If you are unable to make a gift online, you are also welcome to give over the phone by calling our Gift Processing team at (650) 725-4360.

Terms and Conditions

The first $2 million in online gifts made between 12 p.m. (PT) on November 27, 2023, and 11:59 p.m. (PT) on November 28, 2023, supporting any Stanford designation (excluding Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital), will be matched 1:1 by an anonymous Stanford family. The matching dollars will follow the designation of the gift. For example, a $100 gift for Stanford Athletics would secure $100 in matching funds for Stanford Athletics, for a total gift of $200. To ensure that as many people as possible can benefit from this match, the maximum gift amount that will be matched is $5,000 per donor. The matched dollar amount of your gift will not be reflected in online giving histories but will be distributed to the area you designate. 

Only gifts made online, or over the phone, are eligible for the match.
