The Stanford Charitable Trust Program
Stanford University has one of the largest charitable trust programs among all U.S. colleges and universities, with current assets of more than $1 billion under management. The program is managed by Stanford’s Charitable Trust Program, which is part of the Office of Planned Giving within the Office of Development.
Some charitable remainder unitrusts are eligible to be invested alongside Stanford’s endowment, invested by Stanford Management Company (SMC), the investment office of the university. Others are invested in one of several portfolios of mutual funds managed by TIAA Kaspick, with oversight by Stanford.
