GREAT COACHING  IS ESSENTIAL TO CARDINAL TEAMS, but the housing market in the Bay Area—the most expensive in all of Division I athletics—can be a major obstacle in recruiting high-caliber athletic staff. After decades of planning, the dream of a housing development for team staff became a reality in 2011. The new on-campus housing, located on Olmsted Road, is a true game changer.

"After commuting an hour and a half every day for 14 years, it's nice to actually enjoy eating meals with my family. ... I have been able to attend so many more of my children's school and athletic activities."
